PERSONAL PROJECT     2020 (IN PROGRESS)

A Rack is a towel rack designed for the bathroom or restroom. The project arose from an interest in using simple forms and material processes to create a modern yet expressive bathroom towel rack. The design was created by combining a steel cylinder with bent sheet metal bringing a refined yet sturdy perspective to the modern towel rack.

A Rack has a graphically modern expression through its contrasting round and flat shapes. Each rack comes with 4 screws for mounting and two bars for hanging towels on. The mountings brackets are made from laser-cut metal sheets and then bent to shape The bars are metal CNC-lathe and then all the pieces are lacquered with an acrylic powder coating.

There are 3 different variations to set up, a single bar, a double bar for more towels, and a half bar to hang different bathroom tools such as brushes or hand towels.
